What is CELPIP?
The CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) is an English language test designed specifically for individuals applying for Canadian permanent residency or citizenship. It evaluates your abilities in Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking using real-life, everyday situations relevant to life in Canada. There are two versions of the test: CELPIP General, which assesses all four skills and is used for immigration and PR applications, and CELPIP General LS, which includes only Listening and Speaking, and is used for Canadian citizenship applications. Recognized by IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada), CELPIP is a fully computer-delivered test, offering a modern and practical testing experience.
